Grooming: Seasonal Cologne

A Gentleman knows the five senses well, and one of the most potent of those senses is smell.  Making sure you smell good, can help make a strong impression.  One way to be more in tune and create a stronger impression is to change your cologne based on what season it is.  For example, in Fall and Winter, you want to wear more spicy, woodsy and heavier fragrances.  This goes right along with the holidays, being by the fireplace, and being with that special someone.  While in the Spring and Summer you wear colognes that are lighter, more fruity or floral and have a fresh and crisp smell to them.  This symbolizes something new and exciting.

Simple:
Mix colognes.  To get the most out of the colognes that you have, mix them together or also known to some as layering them to create a unique fragrance that no one else will have.  It will surely catch someone's attention if you do it correctly, and keep people guessing.

Sophisticated:
Nordstrom’s Fragrance Fair.  Normally 2-3 times a year in most of their retail stores, they shut the store down, and an have exclusive opportunity to smell the newest releases from most of the major lines.  They normally have a large amount of free samples, great deals and the best part is that your ticket purchase goes towards the fragrance. If you want the latest colognes, go there.  The best part is that your ticket goes towards the price of a purchase.

Classic:
Only use Two fragrances, one per season.  Colognes only last one year or just a little there after, then they begin to change.  To save money get a smaller bottle and just get two, one for the winter and one for the summer.  The summer can work for spring and the winter will do just fine in the fall.

Winter: Narciso Rodriguez, John Varvatos.
Summer: Burberry Touch, Marc Jacobs.
Best line overall: Jo Malone
