Memoire: The Bill
When you have that first opportunity to be with that woman who catches your eye for the first time, you surely want to make an impression. Most of us have the basics figured out, yet when it comes to paying the bill, there is some conflicting ideas. So lets get some of those dispelled here today.
Simple
If you ask her out, you pay the bill. In this day and age, feminism is at an all time high. Women are independent and really want to be treated as equals, yet when it comes to dating, one thing still remains the same, whoever asked who out, pays. So if the bill comes, and you are waiting for her to “come out of the pocket”, you will be waiting a long time as you should be. Yet if she does pay or split the bill, you will be waiting much longer for her to call or text you back.
Sophisticated
Pay in a KlassiQue way. This is something that you can make a serious impression with your lunch or dinner companion. There are the usual ways to pay the bill, yet there are a few that can earn you sure KlassiQue points. I can’t give you all my secrets, but here are two. First, if you know and trust the restaurant, you can drop your card off beforehand. I have done this a select number of times. This works when you know who your server is and you frequent the restaurant. Don’t worry about your card number, if they wanted to do something with it, they have ample time to do so when if you handed them the card later. The second is the more typical, yet is timeless which is to put your card in the menu, most recommended on the outside so the server sees it. This allows the server to run the card when done, and bring you the bill after you are done. This makes a NICE impression on your special guest. Trust me on that.

If your card is declined, don’t sweat, have another card or cash on hand just in case. Since working in banking, cards are blocked all the time because of an unusual transaction. So bring another card just in case or cash. This will save you the long awkward moment and avoid the deer in headlights look, and show that you are prepared. Then call your credit card company or bank after the date.
