Spring Colors 2013
Spring is here, and not soon enough for some people across the country. Just as the trees bloom and change color, so do the colors for spring every year. This year the colors are returning to tradition and primary with a classic appeal. Which color do you feel you look best in?
Blue: Different shades of blue will be front and
center this spring, for a softer more classy spring is upon us. Go for the dark bold blues such as navy blue
to make a statement, and if you want something more subtle, then the lighter
shades are for you. Light blue is great
for dress shirts this spring and darker blue ties to accent. Stripes or checks are a great way to break up
the color if it appears too dominant. Blue
took a back seat for a while, but is in full force this year so as they say, Go
Blue!
Red. This year it will be bright red and slightly
lighter shades when summer sun sets much later in the afternoon. Red is a statement color, when you wear this,
you mean business and is a great way to catch someone’s attention. Keep this color for shirts and accessories
such as a tie for that special presentation or a scarf on those colder
mornings.
Tan/Camel/Wheat. With Camel being the darker and wheat the
lighter, these shades are a perfect pair for blue and red. They bring both those colors out and have a
subtle presence of class and distinction.
Perfect for spring and summer suits, linen or cotton, and nice
compliment for a jacket, or accessory.
This color will last well into the summer months.
Grey. This color you will not see anyone talk about
or rarely mention, but is great for transitioning from the winter to the spring
and works well into the summer. Its one
of the classiest colors that pairs extremely well with all shades of blue and
red. This would be great with pants, or
a sports coat or light jacket. If you
happen to have darker blue jeans, slacks or linen pants, by all means a nice
grey shirt is perfect. What also goes
with a nice shirt and tie, a light grey suit.
