Layering


Not to long ago, it didn’t matter if you were in Chicago or San Francisco, the cold chill of winter made its presence well known.  With many places in the county with the temperatures below freezing day after day, it can be hard Christmas shopping or even just going to work day to day.  Keeping warm is can be difficult, however with the right layering, you can surely be warm and stylish at the same time.

Simple:
Don’t Sacrifice Comfort. What good is it to be uncomfortable outside all the time, even if you are warm? When picking fabrics or materials, stick to the ones that you feel confortable.  If wool makes you itchy, then try cotton, cashmere or flannel.   The worst thing is to buy something, and not like wearing it.  There are a lot of options, so pick the right one for you.

Sophisticated:
Accessories. Anyone who knows fashion, know that accessories help keep you warm and stylish, so when the temperatures drop, start with a scarf and a nice hat or beanie.When choosing the fabric, stick to high-end wool, cashmere, alpaca or a blend. These will maintain comfort, keep you warmer and last longer.   When choosing a scarf, get one that is around 72”, which is longer.  This way it looks nice when it lies elegantly from your neck onto your coat.  Additionally, when it gets really cold or snowy, you can use it to cover your face.   
 

If you choose the shorter scarf, that is for when you are not using a coat, and just have a sports coat.  It looks way better.  As for patterns, solid colors are nice, but picking gingham, block plaid adds distinction.  This will make it easy to work with your ensemble.  You can do paisley or polka dots, just be careful of the patterns clashing.



Keeping your head warm is the most significant thing you can do in the cold. So having the right  A Beanie is a simple way to keep your head warm. It fits in almost any pocket, flexible and if large enough covers your ears.  That is very important in extremely cold weather.  Cashmere is the best fabric so pend the money.  If a beanie isn’t your thing, then a driving hat is just for you.  With its sleek, and long design, a variety of patters work well with this hat.  Try this winter the quilted.  Keep the color solid, and if possible wool or cashmere.

Base layer.  Anyone who has lived in really cold weather knows that the base layer or thermal is   It’s the closest to the body, so it makes it easy to trap heat that your body needs.  Patagonia and Under Armor have great base layers that you can wear.  Depending on which one you choose, it can be seem just like another undershirt.  Some you can also use when exercising such as cycling or running.
