The Three People You Should Know

To get by in life, you need to know a lot of good people. Obviously your doctor, in which you should visit twice a year to make sure that things are going alright.  Additionally a good dentist and florist among other things to make life easy for you.  But in the end, there are three people you should know and keep in touch with very well.  They will not only help you in a multitude of areas, but when in a bind, can affect more areas in a positive sense than any other.

Simple

Butcher.  Just as they say in real estate, location, location, location.  When it comes to cooking meat, is the cut, the cut, the cut.  If you know anything about cooking, or barbecuing, the one thing that is important is the cut of meat.  It changes how you prep, how you cook, the ingredients used, and how you serve the meal.  So getting a long or knowing the right butcher at the grocery store or meat market can help you avoid a lot of mistakes, and give you great ideas.  

Asking them questions on how to prepare, when that good cut of meat is coming in, and ways to cook is all in the mind of a great butcher.  They know seafood, pork, beef, and even some of the exotic meats.  For vegetarians, there are some  butchers, especially in gourmet supermarkets, about great alternatives and where to get them.  So next time you are inside the market, instead of just asking for a particular type of meat and leaving, strike up a conversation and watch your possibilities expand.

Sophisticated

Tailor/seamstress.  No matter how young or old you are, one thing is certain is that you will gain and lose weight.  Some people more drastic than others, especially when your goal is to gain or lose weight.  Knowing that, and knowing that your clothes should fit you the best possible, then you need to have someone who knows how to do that best.  The cut of a suit, or the fit of a shirt can make the difference in how it looks on you, and how others perceive you.  Therefore, having the right tailor or seamstress that can make the right adjustments makes a difference.  Price is important, quality is more important.

Classic

Banker.  We all work hard to make money, and hopefully we work harder to preserve that money too.  Paying fees and not taking advantage of tax breaks, discounts or using your balances in either the right place or in a better place is important.  So having a banker or two to discuss with your finances is essential.  You can save a lot by not paying for a lot.  

Think about this question.  How have you determined that the way you are doing banking is the most cost effective or convenient? When was the last time you sat and truly talked to a banker about your financial situation?  The interesting thing is that we spend more time planning vacations, than our retirement or going over our finances.  We see our dentist and doctor twice a year, so why not see your banker at least once a year?  You would be surprise on how this can make a huge difference.
