Patterns for Fall 2012
![]() | Simple Yet Sophisticated Patterns for Fall 2012 | The
best part of fall fashion is that patterns are more pronounced in a
person’s wardrobe. Combinations of patterns delight the eyes of others
as they gaze among your carefully assembled ensemble of colors and
textures through patterns that the best express style. This fall, there
are three patterns that you should wear, and if you don’t have this in
your fashion vault, its time to make a deposit. Herringbone is a v shaped pattern about as common as stripes, seen in suits, to hats and dress shirts. It can help change the character of a suit and tie by adding texture through color and patterns. This pattern works best with grey and pairs best with solid colors, polka dots and checkered patterns. Its a contemporary look that will never become vintage. Houndstooth is a classic pattern that has truly stood the test of time. Normally seen in black and white resembling a checkerboard, this classic pattern more modernly is seen in red and browns. Broken square patterns are most common, it has been known to be stitched in diamond shaped or even stars to have a more sophisticated look. You can see this on coats, scarves, and hats among other things. Houndstooth pairs best with blue, black grey and brown. If you want to make a modern statement with a classic touch, this is your fall pattern. Polka Dots are a perfect way to spice up your wardrobe this fall. They are a blast from the past with contemporary style and flair that catches any ladies attention. these are my personal favorite, and they are best used with pocket squares, ties, and scarves. Anything else might be stretching this pattern a bit much. (Photo shown has herringbone jacket & polka dot pocket square) | |
