Spring: your car this year
Spring around the corner, summer is
soon to follow. Longer days, warmer
nights embrace the summer season and hopefully more company sitting beside you
as you experience them together. Guests
will surely be inside your car, you want to make a good impression. There are a lot of things you can do to make
your car noticeable, however, there are a few things, although slight, can to
do make an impression and stand out.
Simple:
Spring fragrance. A nice smelling car is something that is
always leaves an impression. The two
things people always say when they enter or leave my car is how clean it is,
and how nice it smells. It is seasonal,
so with the spring and summer upon us, choose more scents that are floral,
citrus or clean & fresh. Be careful
that its not to strong because it can overwhelm the cabin of your car and
become annoying. Stick with the gel
fresheners, they last the longest, are better for you and hold the least
artificial smell. Yankee Candle is a
great place to find them for less than $5.
Sophisticated:
Small Towels: Is your car a hotel, or a bathroom, no. However having a nice small towel in your car
makes a difference in how your car is perceived. Its great for small and large spills,
assuming you allow people to eat in your car, it also softer on the hands, can
be used for your leather seats in the summer when its hot, and if you happen to
be sweating its right there waiting for you and your guest. Make sure you get a nice towel, and watch
what happens when you need it, you both will be glad that you did.
Classic:
The right playlist: To set the mood
right to have fun, relax or set the right tone, having the right playlist is
important. With the right music, you can
change someone’s perception of you, turn a day around or make a stronger
connection. Once I was wine tasting with
someone, whom I reluctantly (they don’t know this) said check out my playlist
and pick something (this is a great way to see what kind of music they
associate with the activity, and what music they like). I had a specific playlist that they enjoyed
and were surprised that I listen to that type of music. For the remainder of the day, we spent time
going from place to place just exploring music.
So spend some time making playlist and be specific. Sunday Afternoon is one of my playlist
titles. You can use Pandora to explore
together, or use your MP3 list on your phone or mp3 player. Spotify is also a great way to have a custom
list, even if you don’t have the song.
Bonus:
Umbrella. If you are in California, Arizona or Nevada
you might not see the value in this, but anywhere else having an umbrella in
the summertime is useful. With
thunderstorms & microbursts, sudden rain is always a possibility. Having an umbrella handy in the car is
considerate for your guest to keep them dry in the summer months.
